Kepolisian Resor Palu menurunkan sekitar 850 personel di kantor Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah untuk mengawal aksi serentak terkait pemilu.
“850 personel ini kita bagi untuk beberapa panggalan, ada yang di KPU Provinsi, ada yang di Bawaslu Provinsi, ada di panggal-panggal jalan objek vital dan kemudian ada juga melaksanakan patroli,” kata Kapolres Palu, AKBP Mujianto, S.IK, di depan kantor KPU Sulawesi Tengah, Rabu sore.
Ratusan personel ini kata Kapolres, diturunkan untuk mengawal adanya demonstrasi serentak yang dilakukan sejumlah orang terkait dengan penolakan hasil Pemilu 2019.
“Surat pemberitahuannya rencana pukul 14.00 Wita, sampai dengan selesai. Kita juga pengamanan sampai dengan selesai,” katanya.
Orang nomor satu di Polres Palu ini tambahnya, selain dari personel Polres yang disiagakan, pihaknya juga dibantu oleh ratusan personel TNI dari Komando Distrik Militer 1306/Donggala.
“Ada sekitar seratusan personel yang kita turunkan, namun tidak hanya satu titik, kita bagi kebeberapa tempat,” tambah Letnan Kolonel Kav. I. Made Maha Yudhiksa, Dandim 1306/Donggala.
Sementara aksi damai dilakukan atas nama Gerakan Kedaulatan Rakyat Sulteng dimulai sekitar pukul 16.25 Wita dan berakhir sekitar pukul 18.56 Wita dengan aman lancar dan tertib usai menyampaikan tuntutannya kepada KPU setempat.
