Angka kejahatan konvensional selama tahun 2020 di wilayah hukum Polda Sulawesi Tengah (Sulteng) mengalami penurunan 7,38 persen yaitu sejumlah 5.280 kasus, dimana sebelumnya tahun 2019 sejumlah 5.701 kasus.
Demikian dijelaskan Kapolda Sulteng Irjen Polisi Abdul Rakhman Baso saat memimpin jumpa pers akhir tahun 2020 di Posko Tinombala Tokorondo Kabupaten Poso.
Kapolda didampingi Wakapolda Sulteng, Kabid Humas serta beberapa pejabat utama lainnya di hadapan sejumlah jurnalis mengungkapkan, ada tiga kasus konvensional yang menonjol selama tahun 2020.
Kasus itu yakni pencurian sejumlah 1.430 kasus, penganiayaan 933 kasus dan curanmor 520 kasus yang secara kuantitas tiga kasus tersebut juga mengalami penurunan dibandingkan tahun 2019.
Kondisi berbeda dialami dalam penanganan perkara tindak pidana khusus yang dilakukan jajaran Direktorat Reserse Kriminal Khusus Polda Sulteng, tahun 2020 menangani perkara 351 kasus, sedangkan tahun 2019 tangani 320 kasus atau naik 8,83 persen.
Dimana tiga kasus terbanyak didominasi kasus siber atau terkait Informasi transaksi elektronik (ITE) yaitu penghinaan atau pencemaran nama baik 130 kasus, penipuan 76 kasus, serta 36 kasus tambang ilegal.
Sedangkan untuk penanganan tindak pidana korupsi selama tahun 2020 Polda Sulteng dan jajaran telah menyelesaikan 19 kasus dari sembilan kasus yang dilaporkan atau ditemukan, penyelesaian dimaksud merupakan tunggakan perkara dari tahun sebelumnya.
Sementara untuk pengungkapan kasus narkoba di Sulteng juga mengalami peningkatan.
Hal ini berkat keaktifan dan kerja keras jajaran Direktorat Reserse Narkoba dan polres jajaran.
Tahun 2020 ada 520 kasus yang diungkap atau naik 12,88 persen.
Pelaku narkoba yang ditangkap juga meningkat 8,50 persen dalam tahun 2020 atau sebanyak 635 orang, dengan barang bukti yang berhasil disita sabu-sabu sebanyak lebih dari 57.843 gram, ganja 4,39 gram, tembakau gorilla 12,45 gram, extasi 2.990 butir dan psikotropika 20.000 butir.
“Apa jadinya apabila jajaran kepolisian tidak aktif mengungkap kasus narkoba, tentunya akan banyak warga Sulawesi Tengah yang akan menjadi korban, sehingga Polda Sulteng pun tidak akan toleransi dan tidak segan-segan untuk melakukan tindakan tegas terukur terhadap pelaku narkoba,” tegas orang pertama di Polda Sulteng itu.
